How Much Should You REALLY Spend On Those Shoes?
I read a tip a while ago, in some magazine or website somewhere.. who knows where, but it stuck. Your shoes are always on the ground, they naturally get scuffed, dirty, marked and just ruined without much effort. So why spend thousands of dollars on them right?
Now wait just a second before you tune out. I love shoes as much as the next girl, but let's be sensible about where the money should be invested... Things that aren't on the ground all day everyday!
Bargain shoes don't mean compromising on style, simply just value. Places like Rubi Shoes offer some amazing finds (cough *Senso knock offs* cough cough) for a quarter, if not an eighth of the price of other brands.
Don't get me wrong, a splurge is a natural reaction to experiencing love at first sight with an inanimate object that fills your soul with fire. But sometimes, it's smarter shopping to direct that heat in another direction.
The most I have ever spent on shoes was $200 for a pair of Toni Bianco's that I couldn't live without. I legitimately had images of them all through my phone and pictured every outfit with them strapped lovingly around my ankles (killing my calves with every step), and had tried them on at 2 different stores.. 3 times.. in both tones.. but I couldn't justify spending anymore than this on a pair. Even this pained me slightly.
Invest in handbags and quality leather jackets that will last you season after season. Good quality skin care, the tailored dress that makes you feel like Beyonce when you put it on, and the lush designer perfume that lasts all night with a little spritz.
Shop around hunt for bargains, especially online at Styletread, The Iconic and even international sites like Public Desire. Search for discount codes on social media, most online stores give you a discount for signing up to their newsletter (Unsubscribe button, what's good?!), and keep your eyes peeled for end of season sales where you can pick up some serious bargains!
Please ladies, think about where you invest your money. No one can really tell where they are from unless they have Red bottoms anyway.
