Brisbane Designer Taking on the World; Ringuet
Earlier this month I was invited along to the designer showcase for Brisbane based designer Ringuet in the Brickworks Design Studio (LOVE!!!) on James Street. A night with my girls, some free champers, and surrounded by beautiful clothing, is a perfect Friday night to me!
Ringuet (Ring-way) is an Australian luxury brand known for its romantic creations and timeless designs. "Each Ringuet piece reveals a story: The freedom to express yourself through custom prints, vibrant colours and beautiful craftsmanship."
"Brisbane-based designer Benjamin Ringuet launched his self-titled label at the beginning of 2013. Benjamin studied Fashion Design and Business at MSIT before being chosen to participate in a selective mentoring program at the Queensland University of Technology."
One of my favourite things about Benjamin and the Ringuet label, is that it is all about local. The brand has been able to keep production on Australian shores using local manufacturers and supporting the Brisbane fashion industry. Even the event itself showcased local Sirromet wines and Brisbane based catering company Cullinart.
Benjamin designs all of the graphic prints himself, making them unique to the brand. His thoughtful tailoring forms to the female body in an understated yet elegant way. Even the lining of lace the Mischief lace dress is thoughtfully placed to cover the essentials like wearing a strapless bra, showing off skin in all the right places.
A huge thank you to Benjamin and the Ringuet team for a beautiful night!
